During the scary wave of Covid David Jr came to live with us while completing his UVic Science degree. He was the one who introduced me to the legend of Bob Ross. Not growing up here I have never seen his shows. Not my “cup of tea” but I suggested to Jr that we paint along Bob together. I was amazed how quickly my son invented a “happy accident” when his pinkish sky turned out too red and too dark. He found an ice capped mountain image and reworked his sky into lovely mountains.. It turned so nice I have decided to add some white mountains to my composition as well. We also toned down Bob’s color choices a lot.
Oh what great fun it was. I absolutely loved our creative evening. David too is now dubbing a bit and created few small but very nice oils. His stronger passion, however, seems to be photography. It was the only one time we ever painted together hence this little piece is another of my cherished treasures.
