Four Individual Topics will be Studied and practiced in Room A at Nanoose Place. All basic materials ARE INCLUDED but your own supplies can be used if you already have them. Those just starting out can test various materials before committing to arts!. Projects will not be repeated from the previous session so that returning students can advance and complete new projects. 

Dates Sept 15th, Sept 22, Oct. 5th, Oct 20th.1-4pm. All levels are welcome and will progress individually with personalized instruction. 

Session 1: Art Materials, Color Mixing, and Basic Watercolor Techniques. Workshop Project 1: Colorful Sky and Clouds. Background shapes and Watercolor basic techniques. Simple coastal composition painting.

Session 2: Fundamental Drawing, Perspective and Field Sketching. Art transfers to canvas. Materials and common  techniques. Workshop Project 2: Figure Study and Still Life 

Session 3: Landscape Elements. Introduction to Composition and Value. Workshop Project 3: Acrylic color mixing. Greens and abstracted, simplified, Landscape forms.

Session 4: Framing, presenting, joining art groups and Federation Information. Color Gamuts and Minimal Color Palette. Project 4: Final Individual project choice - Acrylic/WS Oil Composition and color study.
